Gerard Darel launches ‘Mini 24 Heures Bag’

French fashion label Gerard Darel are launching their iconic  “24 heures” bag in a mini version and I wanted to see if the launch could work as a fashion news story, or if you would like to feature the bags? I have images of the bags below in a selection of the colourways and also the studded versions. The model shots are really cool too.

They’ve put four colour block styles online for Christmas, and then are launching instore and fully online any time now (Paris launched beginning of December so I know the UK just follows later). The cult bag has been re-invented this season with mini dimensions and a long strap- making it the perfect bag for day or night. The name of course comes from this idea that it’s a real ’24 hour’ bag for work/play/night/day.  The mini version of designer bags is a trend that is practical and chic and the price point makes it a great entry point for a designer piece. The standard ‘‘24 heures’’ bag celebrated its 10th anniversary this year which was big news story for Gerard too, these seem to sell really well!
